The big league team wasn’t the only one having a lot of late-inning fun yesterday. Both the South Bend Cubs (the Cubs’ Low-A affiliate) and Myrtle Beach Pelicans (High-A) came back late and walked off with wins.
In South Bend, the Cubs got the win on this Eloy Jimenez blast:
That was a no-doubter, way back on the berm. Jimenez is a beast, physically, and if/when the raw power starts playing in games, he’s immediately going to become one of the best offensive prospects in the Cubs’ system. He might be already.
