The Chicago Cubs have gotten off to a great start in 2016 (14-5), and it is, of course, thanks to the players performing well on the field.
Some early season standouts include Dexter Fowler (and his league-leading 1.9 fWAR and .504 wOBA), Jason Heyward (and his gold glove defense in right), Anthony Rizzo (and his 8 home runs) and Jake Arrieta (and his second no-hitter).
That said, each player (and others) is making making a strong case to be included in the 2016 MLB All-Star Game, and now you can vote for every one of them on MLB.com (well, the positional guys, anyway).
Indeed, MLB has opened up the voting for the 2016 All-Star game and the Cubs will likely field at least a few spots on the roster. You can vote five times in a 24 hour period and up to 35 times overall. The voting will end June 30 at midnight, so be sure to get your picks in by then. The official rules can be found here.[adinserter block=”1″]
From each position, here are the Cubs you can vote for:
First Base: Anthony Rizzo
Second Base: Ben Zobrist
Third Base: Kris Bryant
Shortstop: Addison Russell
Catcher: Miguel Montero
Outfield: Dexter Fowler, Jason Heyward, Jorge Soler
In fact, that is the ballot I just cast (What? I think Jorge Soler is better than Bryce Harper, okay?). So cast your votes early and often, and let’s see if the Cubs can beat the 8 All-Stars they sent to the ASG in 2008!
