According to Google Maps, the top of the scoreboard in Iowa’s Principal Park is right about 390 feet from home plate. According to some very rough guesstimating by your truly, the “A” in the giant lit up word “Park” on top of that scoreboard is about 90 to 95 feet off the ground.
According to Des Moines sports writer Tommy Birch, Vogelbach broke the A.
Told that Vogelbach's homer hit off the A on the park sign that is out. Crushed. #Cubs #MiLB pic.twitter.com/9LW7BwBKmd
