At long last, the wind was blowing out at Wrigley Field on a warm day, and the Cubs took full advantage, ripping four homers – a solid game-tier from Tommy La Stella in the early innings, an insane flag-hitting monster shot from Anthony Rizzo, and two perfectly-time shots to right field from Ben Zobrist.[adinserter block=”1″]
John Lackey pitched extremely well, especially on a day like that, and the bullpen held on well enough to finish off the game – and, hey, Hector Rondon actually got a real save opportunity! And closed it out!
A good day all around.
