Everyone refreshed?
The lineup was already likely to be a little wonky in an early day game following two night games before a West Coast trip, but after a 13-inning marathon last night, it probably got double wonky, which actually had an unwonkifying effect, and thus looks completely normal:
- Dexter Fowler, CF
- Jason Heyward, RF
- Kris Bryant, 3B
- Anthony Rizzo, 1B
- Ben Zobrist, 2B
- Jorge Soler, LF
- Addison Russell, SS
- Miguel Montero, C
- Jason Hammel, P
[adinserter block=”1″]Jorge Soler gets his first start of the series, and he’s simply going to have to figure out a way to contribute while making sporadic appearances, not unlike Javy Baez and Tommy La Stella.
I’m a little surprised Tim Federowicz isn’t getting the start today, given that both David Ross and Miguel Montero saw a fair bit of action last night (and given Montero’s previous back issue). But it’s hard to argue with preferring Montero in there, all things equal. So he must be feeling good.
