The Cubs will try to win again tonight in Philadelphia, perhaps without the unnecessarily dramatic 9th inning, and definitely without Jorge Soler (for how much longer, TBD).

Kris Bryant slides into left field to replace Jorge Soler, though with Eickhoff on the mound, that might have happened today anyway. That’s because Eickhoff has been much more susceptible to lefties this year than righties, and sitting Soler in favor of Tommy La Stella in this one might have been the way to go regardless of Soler’s hamstring.
Miguel Montero is in there behind the plate, and Ben Zobrist returns after his day off. So that’s three lefty (or switch-hitting) bats swapped in for righties from last night. Platoon advantage!
