As I am feverishly updating the Cubs 2016 MLB Draft Picks, I wanted to get tonights’ Cubs lineup in front of you, as well.
They’ll be facing the Braves in a rematch of a series split earlier in the year. With Jorge Soler out, the lineup looks about as expected.

Indeed, tonight’s lineup is probably as close to normalcy as it will get over the coming weeks. With both of Tommy La Stella and Jorge Soler out, I’m guessing we’ll be seeing a lot more of Kris Bryant in left field and Javy Baez at third base (which, great!).
Although, against tougher righties, the Cubs and Joe Maddon will probably elect to throw Chris Coghlan – who was very good with the team from 2014-2015 – out in left field. He’ll also be one of the first hitters off the bench now that he’s officially on the roster, despite his offensive woes in Oakland. There’s a lot going on with the draft currently occurring, though, so I’ll keep this brief for now.
We’ll have a full Pre-Gamin’ closer to game time.
*Brett: Anthony Rizzo was just scratched from the lineup with a tight back, which is not fun. It’s happened to him in the past, and has cost him a range of games from almost no games to nearly a month.
