The Cubs had just given up the lead in the bottom of the 8th inning against the Nationals when Addison Russell walked to lead off the top of the 9th inning.
A David Ross sacrifice bunt later and rookie Albert Almora Jr. was walking to the plate in a huge spot, having just entered the game as a defensive replacement.
He was not fazed in the least, and here’s what he did with the first pitch he saw:
