Yesterday the Eugene Emeralds made two huge announcements.
The first was their roster. This a really interesting roster headlined by a pair of significant pitching prospects: right handed flame thrower Dylan Cease, and towering left hander Bryan Hudson. These two guys both, if things go well, have front of the rotation upside. They have a lot of work to do, but if you want to watch potential aces in action, then watch Eugene.
Other highlights of the roster include 19 year old infielder Andruw Monasterio (posted an OBP of .346 for Arizona last year), 18 year old infielder Yeiler Peguero (stateside debut, .758 OPS in the DSL last year), and slugging third baseman Wladimir Galindo (.922 OPS in 19 games for Arizona last year) on the infield. The outfield includes one of the most anticipated prospects in D.J. Wilson, not to mention the very raw but very toolsy Kevonte Mitchell. It should be a very fun roster to watch.
And that brings me to Eugene’s second bit of news.
You asked for it, now we have it! The Ems home games will be available to watch on https://t.co/yAH8DU7aVC this season! #GoEms

You want to watch Cease and Hudson and Wilson and Galindo and the rest? Now you can. If you haven’t subscribed to MiLB.tv yet, this makes that offer a lot more compelling. With all five non-rookie level affiliates hooked up, there is an excellent chance that you’ll have baseball at all hours. Cubs playing a day game? Someone in the farm system is probably available to watch that evening. Cubs playing at night? There’s often at least one day game somewhere in the system to keep you occupied. If not, just watch your pick of minor league games from the night before. There is no limit to how far this service can tank your productivity.
Not that I would know anything about that. Nope. My productivity has remained just fine, thank you very much.[adinserter block=”1″]
