As we’ve seen already with Matt Szczur, Jorge Soler, Jason Hammel, and Tommy La Stella, hamstring issues and/or injuries can be a tricky thing, the prognosis for which varies wildly. For that reason, and because we don’t really know any details just yet, I won’t speculate on whether he’s going to miss time, how long he’ll miss, who would replace him on the roster, etc. It’s way too early for that.
Let’s just see what else comes out tonight and tomorrow morning, and whether the discomfort is sufficient to lead to an MRI. Then we go from there.
For tonight, Fowler was replaced in center field by Albert Almora Jr.
UPDATE: The MRI is coming tomorrow:
Dexter Fowler "not bad, not awful, just sore," per Joe Maddon. Will have MRI tomorrow.
