Last year, on the Fourth of July, Kris Bryant went deep against the Marlins twice to kick off the game, and there was much rejoicing.
Today, in his second at bat, Bryant did the deed again, this time off of the Reds’ Cody Reed:

That was Bryant’s 24th homer of the year, and the 50th of his young career. Do some quick math on that, and you’ll note that Bryant is already just two homers shy of his total from the entire 2015 season. And he was pretty darn good in 2015.
The homer tied Bryant with Mark Trumbo for the big league lead in dingers.
