Chicago Cubs Lineup: Tommy La Stella is Back and Starting

Chicago Cubs

happy cubs old logoCorresponding roster moves for Tommy La Stella and Adam Warren coming soon …

The Cubs face a 2015 nemesis in Anthony DeSclafani, who wasn’t just good against the Cubs last year – he posted a 3.2 WAR in 2015. How about that?

Chicago Cubs Lineup vs. Cincinnati Reds (Anthony DeSclafani)

  1. Ben Zobrist, 2B
  2. Kris Bryant, RF
  3. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
  4. Willson Contreras, LF
  5. Tommy La Stella, 3B
  6. Jason Heyward, CF
  7. Addison Russell, SS
  8. Miguel Montero, C
  9. Adam Warren, P

Tommy La Stella is back, and he’s right in there against the righty. Hopefully his high-contact bat will be an additional spark to the lineup. And maybe he’ll bust out a magic slide at the plate, too. They’ll probably need some runs today.

Jason Heyward stays in the six hole for now, even against a righty. Addison Russell, who’s hot as all get-out, moves back down to the seven-hole.

As discussed this morning, Adam Warren draws the start, and will hopefully give the Cubs five or six strong innings.

We’ll have a full Pre-Gamin’ closer to game time.
