A nice, comfortable, quality win all around for the Cubs.
The second half is here!
Kyle Hendricks continued his run of awesomeness with six innings of shutout ball, and the bullpen followed suit with the final three frames. The offense put on plenty of baserunners, and actually drove some of ’em in. [adinserter block=”1″]
The Cubs got some great defense in center field from Albert Almora (natch), and from all around the infield, too. It was just a good game all around, and a great way to kick off the second half.
(Yes, I know Pedro Strop also pitched for the Rangers. I didn’t forget to highlight him – I was noting the guys the Cubs got from the Rangers.)
