The Cubs took game one against the Brewers last night, and continue to play very solid baseball having won five of their first seven since the All-Star break.
John Lackey takes the ball in game two, looking to keep the ball rolling for the team, while simultaneously righting his own ship. If Lackey can do that, the Cubs will have a good shot at clinching their third consecutive series win.
Here is a look at the Cubs’ line-up against right-handed starter Zach Davies.

Notable changes from Friday’s win include Willson Contreras moving from left field to behind the plate, Ben Zobrist shifting from second base over to left, and Javy Baez sliding into the defensive alignment at second base.
Dexter Fowler’s return to the lineup was a triumphant one, and he is one of four left-handed bats who will start against Davies. Which is good, because lefties are slashing .285/.344/.462 (.347 wOBA) in 187 plate appearances off Davies this season, while right-handed bats have struggled to a .216/.269/.367 line (.274 wOBA) in 194 PA.
Saturday’s game marks Davies’ first start against the Cubs since Sept. 23, 2015 — a 4-1 Brewers win.
