The Cubs kept themselves from being swept last night, and they’ll have a chance to do it one better tonight … but they’ll have to do it against Chris Sale. Here’s the group that’ll try.
Chicago Cubs Lineup v. White Sox (Chris Sale):
- Dexter Fowler, CF
- Kris Bryant, 3B
- Anthony Rizzo, 1B
- Ben Zobrist, RF
- Willson Contreras, C
- Addison Russell, SS
- Javy Baez, 2B
- Matt Szczur, LF
- John Lackey, P

Willson Contreras is back in there after his two-game breather, and he’ll be catching John Lackey.
The most noticeable absence in the lineup is Jason Heyward, who sits in favor of Matt Szczur. Sale has been hard on everyone in his career, but he’s definitely been harder on lefties. So, the swap here, if you’re looking to give Heyward a day anyway, makes sense.
We’ll have a full Pre-Gamin’ for you closer to game time.
