Re-Living the Cubs’ Offensive Explosion: Heyward and Ross HRs, Rizzo Bases-Clearing 2B

The rains couldn’t keep me down yesterday, as I watched soaking wet from the bleachers, and they couldn’t keep the Cubs’ offense down either.

Newly-returned outfielder Chris Coghlan opened the scoring with a two-out, two-run single (with a bonus shot of Javy Baez getting shoved out of the way by the home-plate umpire):

After the Cubs tacked on another, Jason Heyward hit his first home run since June 11, and you can watch it here. With one more added from there, it was already 6-0 Cubs, and felt like that was gonna be plenty.

But, hey, why settle for a half-dozen? Things really broke open with a six-run sixth inning:
