Here’s the deal: I’m going to tonight’s game, so you’re likely to see a lull in Blogathon posts here at the site. I promise, as long as I get the tiniest bit of cell service, I will make at least one post on my phone at the game in service of the spirit of the Blogathon.
Otherwise, you’ll mostly (hopefully) see me doing stuff on Twitter and Snapchat.
Tonight’s game is a really interesting one, as the Cubs not only look to win this series, they have to do it against Felix Hernandez. King Felix hasn’t quite been his usual self this year, but he’s still quite good, still has a solid changeup, and the Cubs (if memory serves) struggle against good changeups.
Tonight’s game is also interesting because of the Cubs’ starter – it’s lefty Brian Matusz, coming up as the sixth starter (for one start? two? five?) to give the rest of the rotation a little break.
I’ll be watching his outing intently – well, as intently as possible while still doing Blogathon fun things – and it would be a wonderful roster problem to have if he pitches lights out for five or six innings. I’m not expecting that, mind you. I’m just saying it would be awesome.
