Good morning, my friends!
The 2016 MLB Non-Waiver Trade Deadline is tomorrow afternoon at 3pm CT, and I will be blogging/tweeting/videoing/snapping/whatevering from now until a few hours after the deadline (in case there are bits to analyze in the final hours, and also because there’s a Cubs game shortly thereafter).
It’s 39 hours straight of blogging (one more than last year!) thanks to your generosity to Make-A-Wish. At last check, we were just shy of $17,000 given to Make-A-Wish, which is incredible. You are all amazing (and you can still give here if you haven’t and want to). I plan to do portions of the Blogathon from various spots around Wrigleyville, so fingers crossed that it all works outs and I don’t get too many strange looks. I’ve never tried this part!
Hopefully there are plenty of rumors and trades to discuss and fill our time together these next two days. Although the Cubs have already made a couple moves, rumors persist that there could be more. And activity around baseball, as a whole, hasn’t really rocketed off. It could be busy.
For 39 straight hours. Woo! I am ready.
You can expect to see a lot more content than usual around here, as well on our various social media channels. You’ll want to follow BN on Twitter and like it on Facebook and add me on Snapchat to maximize your Blogathon enjoyment.
Join in the fun on Twitter by using the #BNBlogathon hashtag (I’ll be sharing those tweets here throughout the Blogathon).
Let’s do this!
