#BNBlogathon Check-In: Hour 23

Chicago Cubs

dusty sleeping blogathonI am currently blogging – here, on Facebook, on Twitter (hash tag #BNBlogathon for those who want to jump into the fray themselves), and on Snapchat – for 39 hours straight, until slightly past MLB’s August 1 non-waiver Trade Deadline, thanks to your generous donations to Make-A-Wish. I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, news, Pre-Gamin’, EBS, etc.), as well as a significant uptick in rumor/trade posts.

Ah, the overnight hours. It gets a little tougher.

Total Posts So Far:

News and Rumors Since the Last Check-In:

Hey, some actual rumor stuff! Cubs are still looking at starting pitchers, and the Rays are still considering moving one or more of theirs. And some other bits on bigger names who could be moved today.

Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:

The idea that Chris Sale could still be dealt is fun to think about. No, I don’t think he’s coming to the Cubs in any circumstance, but a big blockbuster trade would be enjoyable to observe wherever he winds up.

Current Thoughts About the Chicago Cubs’ Trade Deadline Strategy/Execution:

Not much has changed on this front since the last check-in. See what the sunlight brings.

Current Beverage/Stimulant of Choice:

A mistake:

Where I’m Writing:

A couch.

Strangest Thought Passing Through My Mind:

Thinking about the next location, how I’m going to get there, and what I need to wear. It figures to be wet.
