The Cubs will try for their ninth straight victory and third straight series sweep tonight, behind Jason Hammel.
That would be especially swell, with the rotation turning over and the Cardinals coming to town next.

Jorge Soler steps out of the lineup tonight for the first time since returning from the disabled list, with Javy Baez effectively taking his place in the lineup (by way of Kris Bryant bumping out to left). The rest of the lineup, however, is very familiar.
Not unlike this time last year, I won’t be surprised to see a little less variation in the everyday lineup – with the exception of the Willson Contreras, Javy Baez, and Jorge Soler rotation that has developed. We’re not quite in the home stretch just yet, but we’re getting mighty close.
We’ll have a full Pre-Gamin’ for you closer to game time.
