Game one of today’s double-header kicks off around noon today, as Trevor Cahill steps in for the start.
Hopefully, he can give the Cubs a nice long outing (4-5 innings would be ideal), and the Cubs offense can do the rest.

With a day-night doubleheader on tap, Chris Coghlan steals the start in left field. But with Matt Garza on the mound for the Brewers, that may have happened anyway. Through 28.1 innings this season, lefties are crushing Garza to a .373 wOBA. Righties are hitting him well too (.322 wOBA), but there is a pretty clear platoon advantage – at least, this season.
Miguel Montero catches game one behind the plate. And given Willson Contreras’ absence from the lineup altogether, I’m guessing he’ll catch the second half today.
You can expect a full Pre-Gamin’ closer to game time.
