With Rockies lefty Tyler Anderson on the mound, the Cubs load up with righties. Anderson sports pretty dramatic splits this year (.248 wOBA versus lefties, .324 wOBA versus righties).
That means the Cubs go with Jorge Soler and Matt Szczur in the corner spots in Coors’ spacious outfield. It could be an adventure in right for Soler, but I’ve gotta say, his defense has been a lot less noticeable lately (I just jinxed him, didn’t I?).
Jason Heyward sits against the lefty, and Ben Zobrist gets a breather.
