With Norris featuring some comically huge splits this year (.283.392/.518 versus lefties, .241/.288/.339 versus righties), the Cubs try to squeeze in as many lefties as they can into the lineup, being that they’re without Chris Coghlan and Tommy La Stella right now.
That means Miguel Montero is in there, at least, and he was also the catcher for Mike Montgomery’s last start – which went very well – so no complaints here. Jorge Soler also sneaks back into left field, as both of Willson Contreras and Javy Baez get the night off. Otherwise, the lineup looks about like you’d expect.
We’ll have a full Pre-Gamin’ for you closer to game time.
