I’m not saying Brock Stewart is definitely made up, but I need to see him on the mound before I can confirm that he is, in fact, a righty.
(A quick check on Stewart shows me why I was not familiar with him: a sixth rounder in 2014, he’s rocketed his way up from High-A to the big leagues this year, out of relative obscurity, but has great numbers all along the way.)
The Cubs go with their frequently-employed Jon Lester grouping of defenders, with Javy Baez at third base and Kris Bryant in left field. This is probably the best defensive grouping the Cubs can field right now, in total.
That totally includes Jon Lester, by the way, who showed off his ability to throw to a base in his last start. Don’t risk it, Dodgers! Just go station to station!
We’ll have a full Pre-Gamin’ for you closer to game time.
