I mentioned recently that it seems like Addison Russell, who is among the best defensive players in baseball, hadn’t made quite as many “HOLY SH*T” plays this year as he did last year.
I don’t know how many incredible plays one catch can count for, but whatever the maximum, Russell totally earned it on this diving, rolling, absurd catch with the bases loaded tonight. I keep watching it, and I keep being more and more impressed:

He covered SO much ground in so little time, and then went all out to snag the ball. Look how far he skidded/rolled once he hit the grass! That’s how fast he was going! And the fist pump after? Bonus awesomeness[adinserter block=”1″][adinserter block=”10″]
