Kris Bryant is utterly incredible, and may yet runaway with – not just win, but runaway with – the NL MVP race. He already leads the league in so many categories, including the most important measures of overall ability at the plate and total value.

Bryant hit his 36th homer in the first inning tonight off of Ryan Vogelsong, straight into a stiff breeze coming in from left field at a near 20mph clip:
That was 105 mph off the bat, and sent out 387 feet to left. The wind never really had a chance to stop it.
Bryant not only leads the NL in homers now, but he’s tied with Edwin Encarnacion for second in MLB. Mark Trumbo leads with an even 40.
