Not one night after Tommy La Stella returned to the Cubs and the starting lineup, Chris Coghlan does the same.
We’ll have more on his return and season very shortly, but in the meantime let’s check out the Cubs starting lineup for tonight.

With Jeff Samardzija (and his lefty/right splits favoring southpaws) on the mound, Chris Coghlan returns to the Cubs’ lineup tonight against the Giants. Like I said, we have much more on that story scheduled to post very soon (so look out for that), I just didn’t want to gloss over it too quickly.
Jason Heyward continues to bat fifth, now that he’s a new man, David Ross gets a rare non-Jon Lester start, and each of Jorge Soler, Javier Baez, and Willson Contreras get the night off.
You can expect a full Pre-Gamin’ closer to game time.
