We have been spoiled silly by Javy Baez this year. He gives us insane defensive highlights regularly. He does magic slides repeatedly. He hit a walk-off bomb on Mother’s Day.
He’s just incredible.
And today, he gave us another kind of play to enjoy: scoring from second base on an infield dribbler that barely reached third base. How is that possible? Well, combine speed, awareness, effort, and some balls. [adinserter block=”1″][adinserter block=”10″]
You can watch the play at this link, and here’s the GIF:

When Baez saw that the ball had dribbled just a little too far past Eduardo Nunez at third base, he decided to go for it. Even if Buster Posey had squeezed the throw, Baez would have been safe.
Essentially, Baez stole home on the play.
I just love watching him play baseball.
