The Chicago Cubs scored just three times today, once in the fourth, once to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th, and then once again in the 13th inning to walk the thing off.
All three runs came thanks to an RBI single by Jason Heyward. Sure, they had eyes and all that, but sometimes you just need to put the ball in play.[adinserter block=”1″][adinserter block=”10″]

After the year Heyward has had, to see him have that moment was pretty satisfying. You know his teammates were thrilled for him, and you know he was feeling the rush of joy and also, probably, some relief. He let it all out when he reached first base, chucking his helmet and screaming into the air:

I think we all felt that way. Go Cubs. Go Jason.
