Chicago Cubs Lineup: Kawasaki and La Stella Draw Starts

Chicago Cubs

happy cubs old logoThe Cubs’ late-season Spring Training continues, with a new crew rotating into the starting lineup tonight.

Chicago Cubs Lineup v. Pittsburgh Pirates (Ryan Vogelsong):

  1. Dexter Fowler, CF
  2. Chris Coghlan, RF
  3. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
  4. Ben Zobrist, LF
  5. Miguel Montero, C
  6. Tommy La Stella, 3B
  7. Javy Baez, SS
  8. Munenori Kawasaki, 2B
  9. John Lackey, P

Addison Russell and Kris Bryant get the night off after a notable one to open the series against the Pirates, and Jason Heyward sits as well.

Tommy La Stella draws an increasingly rare start, as does Munenori Kawasaki. Chris Coghlan stays in the lineup, which has been a perfectly productive thing lately, though it highlights how little we’re seeing of Jorge Soler these days. He’s been in and out of the lineup with a side issue, so we’ll see what happens.
