Chicago Cubs NLCS Game 6 Lineup: Almora Steps in for Heyward

Chicago Cubs

happy cubs old logoTonight, the Chicago Cubs will look to make history. Is this the lineup that does it?

Against Clayton Kershaw? Who is really good, but has been beatable when facing the same team in this close of succession?

Chicago Cubs Lineup v. Los Angeles Dodgers (Clayton Kershaw):

  1. Dexter Fowler, CF
  2. Kris Bryant, 3B
  3. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
  4. Ben Zobrist, LF
  5. Javy Baez, 2B
  6. Willson Contreras, C
  7. Addison Russell, SS
  8. Albert Almora Jr., RF
  9. Kyle Hendricks, P

The big change will jump out at you in right field, as the Cubs go with righty Albert Almora Jr. over Jason Heyward. The glove difference is probably very small between the two, and with Heyward stuck in a season-long funk, you don’t hate to see the bat switch there.

Otherwise, the lineup is just about what it’s been in the last couple games, and mirrors the crew that faced Kershaw earlier in the series.

We’ll have a full Pre-Gamin’ for you close to game time.
