Today, the Chicago Cubs officially announced their 2017 Spring Training reporting dates: pitchers and catcher reporting on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Position players report three days later on February 17. The first full squad workout is Saturday, February 18.
The Cubs also announced that they’ve added an additional Spring Training game against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Scottsdale on Thursday, March 2 at 7:10 p.m. Arizona time.
The Cubs open the Cactus League schedule with a split squad day on February 25, with half the club hosting the A’s at Sloan Park, and the other half heading to Scottsdale to take on the Giants.
