Today, the WORLD CHAMPION Chicago Cubs were welcomed to the White House by President Obama, and honored for their historic season.
If you missed any of the President’s remarks – or the other President (Theo Epstein) making his own remarks – you can and should watch the full video below. The session was full of great one-liners, and President Obama even conceded that, of all the White Sox fans, he’s the number one Cubs fans.
“Sports has a way, sometimes, of changing hearts in a way that politics or business doesn’t,” the President said, as he concluded his remarks. The Cubs, with their many different colors and histories and backgrounds, came together as one unit to win this title, and that, according to the President, tells us a little something about what America is.
