Although Chicago Cubs prospects are not quite the center piece of Spring Training that they were a few years ago, it’s not as if the Cubs are lacking for guys you’ll want to check out.
Among them are outfielder Eloy Jimenez (now sporting Jorge Soler’s old number 68), and second baseman/outfielder Ian Happ. The duo are probably the top two prospects in the organization to just about anyone you’d ask, and they were smacking around some batting practice yesterday at Cubs camp.

Joe Maddon was watching and enjoying:
Maddon spent the day watching #Cubs Happ and Jimenez. "Everyone thinks our talent is already here. Time out — there's other guys coming"

And, thanks to the good folks at Cubs Insider, you can also watch and enjoy, even if you’re not out in Arizona:

It’s incredible to me how much more Jimenez looks like “a man” this year than even last year. Dude’s just built for miles. And Happ’s got a pretty swing, doesn’t he?
Happ figures to head back to AA Tennessee to begin the season, and Jimenez will probably get the bump up to High-A Myrtle Beach. Before that, though, the two prospects figure to get in some nice Cactus League action, as each is a non-roster invitee to big league camp. I can’t wait to see them in action. Games begin in just three days.
