The Cubs are clearly taking today’s rivalry game against the White Sox seriously.
Here’s the Cubs’ lineup:
- Kyle Schwarber, LF
- Kris Bryant, 3B
- Anthony Rizzo, 1B
- Ben Zobrist, 2B
- Addison Russell, SS
- Miguel Montero, DH
- Willson Contreras, C
- Jon Jay, CF
- Mark Zagunis, RF

Outside of Jason Heyward, who played the first two days, that’s a group of regulars to face the White Sox today. Outfield prospect Mark Zagunis takes over right field for the day, and Miguel Montero picks up DH duties.
Looking at the top four – and maybe five, especially if Addison Russell is about to break out – that could be your Opening Day lineup, as Joe Maddon has made no secret about his preference to go Schwarber-Bryant-Rizzo-Zobrist at the top. I dig it.
Brett Anderson makes his Cubs Spring debut today, by the way.
We’ll have your usual Pre-Gamin’ later today in advance of the game.
