Javy Baez leads off in his final game before heading out to join Team Puerto Rico for the World Baseball Classic.
Still no Anthony Rizzo (back), and Jeimer Candelario gets another start at first base after his big game yesterday. Just keep hitting, young man, and the rest will sort itself out eventually.
Outfield prospect Jacob Hannemann gets a start, and I hope some balls head over his way, because you’ll be impressed by the defense. Heck, that entire outfield is fantastic today.
The game is at 2pm CT, and we’ll have your full Pre-Gamin’ closer to game time.
UPDATE: Addison Russell has been scratched after taking a HBP just above his left elbow yesterday:
Addison Russell is a little sore after yesterday's HBP. He's scratched from the lineup as Cubs don't want to push it in spring.
