It’s something of a prospect day for the Cubs, as they head out to play the Mariners again today (this time at their place), with Kyle Hendricks on the mound.

It’s the prospect lineup! Each of the Cubs’ top two prospects, Eloy Jimenez and Ian Happ, draw the start in this one, as well as utility man Chesny Young, and big stick Jeimer Candelario.
The regulars get a break, as most of the big leaguers are listed as non-game players today. That includes Matt Szczur, who played a ton in the early going of Spring Training, but who has now not played since March 5. It would be fair to surmise that he’s been resting a bit, though we don’t yet have word on any kind of injury.
Speaking of which, Albert Almora is back in there after getting some days to rest a sore calf.
