Pre-Gamin’: Cubs at Mariners (2:10 CT) – Lineup, Broadcast Info, Game Thread
Rematch time.
After dramatically blowing their ninth lead yesterday, the Chicago Cubs will get a second crack at the Seattle Mariners this afternoon. SPRING TRAINING GRUDGE MATCH.
But this time, it’ll be at Peoria Stadium with a lineup full of prospects.
Each of the Cubs’ three best positional prospects – Jeimer Candelario, Eloy Jimenez, and Ian Happ – get a start today, while Albert Almora (not really a prospect at this point) patrols center field.
With Almora in center, Jon Jay shifts over to left, and will do his best to replace the defensive prowess of one Kyle Schwarber – who made a legitimately amazing catch at the wall yesterday.
Kyle Hendricks grabs the start on the mound, after allowing just one hit and no walks (against one strikeout) in his first two innings of the spring.
Today’s game will be broadcast by the Mariners, so it’ll be available on MLB.tv. The Cubs-based audio will be available at MLB.com. For future reference, you can check which games will be televised here.
