Given the recent power surges from Kris Bryant and Ian Happ, you may have forgotten that Addison Russell was the early Spring Training homer leader when he popped two at the start of the Cactus League slate.
He hadn’t had one in a while until tonight, when he went back-to-back with Ben Zobrist:

That was Zobrist’s first homer of the spring, and Russell’s third, tying him with Bryant, Happ, and Willson Contreras atop the team leaderboard.
Russell figures take another step forward with his power this year, and, if he does, the big three at the top of the order – Kyle Schwarber, Kris Bryant, and Anthony Rizzo – are going to love having these two guys, Zobrist and Russell, hitting right behind them.
