The early betting odds for various awards were just sent to me courtesy of Bovada, and, perhaps in no surprise, Kris Bryant is pegged as the 11/4 favorite to repeat as National League MVP. Bryce Harper is next, at 3/1. Bryant’s teammate, Anthony Rizzo, is fourth (where he seems to keep finishing in the MVP race) at 9/1.
Kyle Schwarber, if you’re wondering, is 33/1. No word on the over/under for his home run total, though.

Jake Arrieta and Jon Lester are 16/1 to win the NL Cy Young, where Clayton Kershaw is the prohibitive favorite (8/5). Kyle Hendricks is 33/1.
Giancarlo Stanton and Nolan Arenado edge out Bryant in the home run odds, though sitting at third (10/1) in all of baseball ain’t too shabby for Bryant. Interestingly, Schwarber’s odds of leading baseball in homers, per Vegas, are substantially better (18/1) than Rizzo’s (28/1). Must be those extra lead-off at bats.
