The Cubs had a pretty decent start to today’s game against the Reds, as they went: HR, 2B, BB, HR, Line out, 2B, 2B, 1B, 1B (that one was pitcher, Eddie Butler), K, Fly out.
That leadoff homer came via Anthony Rizzo, who swapped into the spot for Kyle Schwarber, who batted third, presumably in anticipation of being taken out of the game early (he had played three days in a row, and was, in fact, lifted for a pinch runner).

Here’s Rizzo’s blast:
Not even a tiny bit of doubt on that one.
And a fan was ready and waiting with the camera on Rizzo’s shot:

The three-run shot after Rizzo came off the bat of Albert Almora Jr.:
That thing was a rocket. I am all-in on wanting Almora to develop that power. Which is really going out on a limb …
Meanwhile, in the game back in Mesa, here’s how the Padres started off against Alec Mills: 1B, Fly out, SB, BB, 1B, Ground out, HR, 1B, 1B, WP, K.
So, um, you know … it can happen to anyone, AMIRITE!?
