Today is the final game of the Cactus League season, meaning that the best the Cubs can finish is 12-17.
Panic! Chaos! Worry!
Of course, you all very-much should know that their Spring Training record is even more meaningless than the individual results of those that carried them there.
And as a reminder, although this is technically the final Cactus League game, the Cubs do still have two exhibition games to go before the regular season starts, and both are against the Houston Astros (7:10 CT on Thursday and 1:10 CT on Friday).
John Lackey takes the ball today for the final time before the season starts. He’ll pick it back up next Wednesday in the closing match between the Cubs and the Cardinals at Busch Stadium.
