One series at a time.
The Chicago Cubs head to Milwaukee, after having won their first series of the season (against the Cardinals!).
Hopefully, they have similar luck against the Brewers.
Here’s the lineup for tonight.
- Kyle Schwarber, LF
- Kris Bryant, 3B
- Anthony Rizzo, 1B
- Ben Zobrist, RF
- Addison Russell, SS
- Jason Heyward, CF
- Willson Contreras, C
- Brett Anderson, P
- Javy Baez, 2B

It’s hard not to like the lineup when it’s set up this way (as it was on Opening Night).
Sure, you lose Albert Almora’s glove in center field, but gain Javy Baez’s glove at second base (and with a ground ball pitcher on the mound). I always knew this particular defensive alignment was an option, but I didn’t think manager Joe Maddon would dip into it quite this often early on. But again, it’s hard not to like both Ben Zobrist and Baez on the field at the same time.
Other than that, there’s nothing too unexpected. The pitcher continues to bat eighth, Russell continues to adorn the middle of the order, and Baez fulfills the second lead-off role. Go Cubs.
As usual, we’ll have your full Pre-Gamin’ closer to Game Time.
