This week, MLB Auctions popped up a whole bunch of game-used items from the World Series (h/t Tribune), including the very base upon which Anthony Rizzo recorded the final out of Game Seven.
It can be yours! For a lot of money!
The current bid is up to over $16,000, and with no end date yet on the auction, I’m thinking the price is going to climb substantially. Maybe I can solicit some friends and family to help me get a really nice new seat cushion.

Other auction items include a pitch on which Ben Zobrist struck out in Game 3 ($1500+), a pitch that hit Anthony Rizzo in Game 4, ($800+), or the wild pitch that Jon Lester threw after relieving Kyle Hendricks in Game 7, which scored two runs ($1500+). I actually think that one would be kind of a funny one to have, given the outcome.
