Okay, that weekend featured some beautiful weather and some ugly baseball.
But get the bad taste out of your mouth, because it’s just three games and we have another one today. Baseball’s nice that way.
The Chicago Cubs are hosting the Milwaukee Brewers for the final series of their nine-game home stand.
John Lackey is taking the mound tonight, coming off a start in which he struck out ten Dodgers at Wrigley Field. We discussed his solid start to the season earlier today, but suffice it to say he’s been the Cubs second most valuable pitcher to Jon Lester (by WAR) in one fewer start. Here’s to hoping he keeps it up.

Opposing John Lackey and the Chicago Cubs is Brewers righty Chase Anderson.
Anderson’s last start against the Blue Jays was fantastic, but he’ll have a tougher challenge against the Cubs at Wrigley. For his career, he’s struggled much more against righties (.357 wOBA) than lefties (.306) so let’s see if the Cubs northpaws (is that a thing?) can do some damage.
