OMG. AGAIN.
It didn’t take long for the Cubs to scuttle the memory of last night’s thrilling win, as Kyle Hendricks’ struggles continue, with command issues and persistent fastball velocity in the mid-80s creating an explosive combination for opposing bats. (More on that later. Right now is happy time.)
The Cubs were once again down multiple runs before even picking up a bat (third time this series), and once again the bullpen did a great job keeping the game close.

The bats once again chipped away just enough to bring the drama to a head in the 9th inning, and after Kris Bryant tied things up with a single to center, Addison Russell got a chance to play hero with two on and two out. Instead of just knocking a game-winning single, he decided to launch a game-winning, walk-off bomb.
