You may or may not have noticed yet this year, but the Cubs have been creating short behind-the-scenes videos this year and sharing them with fans. For example, when the Cubs went to historic Fenway Park earlier this year, the Cubs put together this great video package of a number of players sharing their experience. (Aside: given the relative production quality and editing demands, the Cubs’ turnaround time on these videos is very impressive.)
This time around, it’s a more personal experience, as the Cubs documented Ian Happ’s arrival to Wrigley Field for his debut there with the Cubs in front of the home crowd. It’s a great inside look at the experience generally, but also Happ’s extremely cool and collected demeanor. He’s got a personality and he was impressed in his own way, but the guy just isn’t going to let anything rattle him.
A fan asked @ihapp_1 if he was going to homer in his Wrigley Field debut last night.
He politely responded in more ways than one. #ThatsCub pic.twitter.com/wMQCDiYJm2
