Former Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross, among many other post-playing-days duties, has started participating in ESPN broadcasts.
Thus, Ross is at Wrigley Field tonight for Cubs-Cardinals, and I guess the old habits are hard to shake. Look who is warming up Jason Heyward in right field (via ESPN):

That’s just awesome. He’s still got it! Kinda!
Even if not in the dugout or behind the plate, it’s good to see the ever-affable Ross back with the Cubs for a night. Everybody likes David Ross. Even Heyward was having a blast.
Now if the Cubs need a late-inning at bat against a lefty, maybe Ross can step in there, too.
