Another day, another leadoff man for the Chicago Cubs.
Hey man – at least they’re trying.
- Jon Jay, CF
- Kris Bryant, 3B
- Anthony Rizzo, 1B
- Ben Zobrist, LF
- Jason Heyward, RF
- Javy Baez, 2B
- Miguel Montero, C
- Addison Russell, SS
- Jake Arrieta, P
Jon Jay takes his turn leading off for the Cubs, as Kyle Schwarber gets a break from the lineup (he went 0-11 since his three-hit night a few games ago). Jay, on the other hand, actually has a 104 wRC+ in his 116 plate appearances with the Cubs this season. Maybe some new life in the lineup will shake things up just enough to change their fortune.
The Rockies’ starter, Antonio Senzatela, debuted earlier this season, and although he doesn’t have a huge sample size, lefties have hit him better (.317 wOBA) than righties (.285). With Miguel Montero in there catching Jake Arrieta, Senzatela will face five lefties on the day.
As usual, we’ll have a full Pre-Gamin’ for you closer to game time (1:20 CT)
