Lester Turned It On, Hendricks Threw, Heyward Swung, Zobrist Still Out, and Other Bullets

The early game and a good bit to get to this morning have pushed the Bullets into borderline Pre-Gamin’ territory …

  • With one swing, Jon Lester gave up three runs in the first inning yesterday, and it would have been easy to be disheartened … if he were less of a confident veteran. Instead, Lester put his head down and went to work, dominating the Marlins for six innings thereafter, and giving the offense an opportunity to get back into the game. In some ways, I appreciate a performance like that more than one that is simply dominant from the get-go.
